Winter Membership Meeting

The 2024 Lake Manitou Association Winter Membership Meeting is

Sunday, February 25, 2024,

at the VFW Post 9455, 519 S. Chipman St. Owosso, MI 48867

This is a family event with a Chili Cookoff. To sign up for the chili contest please contact Debbie Morgan, 517-214-1129. It will also be a pot luck style meal with table service and beverages provided.

Key meeting discussions will be on Goose Control, Fish Stocking, Spring Carp Contest and Muskrat Management.

Please join your neighborhood community for this all member meeting.

 

Annual Garage Sale

The 2024 Annual Lake Manitou Garage Sale is scheduled for Saturday, June 15th, 2024. The 2023 event proved successful for both buyers and sellers, consider cleaning out your basement and garage and participating this year. Contact Mary Jo Forsythe at 989-723-4742 or email garagesale@lake-manitou.org. Mary Jo coordinates seller participation, advertising, map and sign distribution.

Sellers: Please contact the coordinator, Mary Jo Forsythe at 989-723-4742 or garagesale@lake-manitou.org to be included in the official sales map.

Sellers: Please provide information at least one week before the sale to be included in the map.

Advertisements in both the Argus Press and Independent to identify the annual Lake Manitou Association Garage Sale will be placed approximately 1 week before the sale.

4′ x 8′ road sign is placed at the M-52/Garrison Road intersection and the Morrice Road/Garrison Road intersection the morning of the sale.

Yard sale location map is created distributed to each seller during the morning of the sale. Please distribute maps to customers for participating locations.

Lake Manitou Fireworks

2024 Lake Manitou Fireworks– Saturday, July 4th, 2024, approximately 10:00pm

For the fireworks budget we receive an 18-minute show. To increase our fireworks display we will need additional participation and/or increased donations.

We had 64 member donations in 2022 averaging $90 per donating member, total participation 57.5%.

 

Summer Membership Meeting

The 2023 Lake Manitou Association annual summer membership meeting is scheduled for Sunday, August 28, 2022 at 2:00PM at Bennington Township Hall, 5849 South M-52, Owosso. Doors open at 1:00PM. Please view the fireworks tab above to review the 2023 options, the board is looking for a majority preference in securing 2023 fireworks and bring your suggestions.

 

The 2021 Lake Manitou Association annual summer membership meeting is Sunday, August 29, 2021 at 2:00PM, Bennington Township Hall. New phone directory will be available.

The 2020 Lake Manitou Association annual summer membership meeting is Sunday, August 23rd, 2020 at 2:00PM, vacant lot across from 4855 W Mohican Trail, bring chair.  Click here for online board of directors voting link.

The 2019 Lake Manitou Association annual summer membership meeting was held Wednesday August 7, 2019 at the Bennington Township Hall on M-52. Doors open at 6:00pm with a meeting at 6:30pm. Refreshments will be available. All members and invited guests are welcome.

The 2018 Lake Manitou Association summer membership meeting was held August 5, 2018 at the Comstock Inn, Owosso from 1pm-4p.

The 2017 summer annual membership meeting was held August 20, 2017 at the Wrought Iron Grill in Owosso. The room was filled with at least 55 (or more) residents. Neighbors were meeting new neighbors and others were renewing old acquaintances.

The 2016 Lake Manitou Association summer membership meeting was held on Sunday August 14, 2016 at 2:00pm at the Baker College Welcome Center.

The Lake Manitou 2015 summer membership meeting was held Sunday August 16, 2015 at Baker College Welcome Center, 1309 S. M-52, Owosso.

The 2014 Lake Manitou Association Summer membership meeting was held on June 29, 2014 at Baker College Welcome Center, 1309 S. M-52, Owosso. At the meeting results of membership elections were confirmed as well as the outcome of voting on proposed by-laws updates.
