Lake Manitou is located in Shiawassee County, Bennington Township, midway between the towns of Owosso and Perry Michigan.  It is east of M-52, and west of Waugh Road.  West Garrison Road borders the lake on the south and Kiwanis Acres borders the lake on the north.

Lake Manitou Association primary fire department service is provided by Owosso Township fire department with mutual aid from other local departments. Dial 911 for emergency services.
